Ackerman Digital Systems -- History
Ackerman Digital systems were often known as ADS.
They came out with some unique cards. They did not produce a lot of boards
initially but the ones they did
make were really useful if you needed that function. The boards were
expertly designed and lied out. At later stages in the companies
growth they made a high capacity ROM/RAM card and an excellent FDC board but I
cannot locate any information about them now. In 1984 they produced a (non S-100
bus) Single Board Computer similar to the
DRC Big Board.
Also I can find no information about the company or what happened
to it. They were located on North York Rd., Elmhurst, IL.
If anybody has any information they would like to share please let me know.
